Inbox
Read and reply to customer emails in one place, and optionally let AI answer them for you.
Beta
The Inbox is where you read and reply to your customer conversations without leaving Swapt. Find it at Inbox in the sidebar.
Before you start
The Inbox works with your own email domain:
- Add and verify your domain under Settings → Domains. Emails that customers send to an address on that domain arrive in your Inbox.
- Add the addresses you want to send from on the Email Addresses tab of the same page.
Want a copy of incoming emails somewhere else too? On the Email Addresses tab in Settings → Domains, use Email Forwarding to forward everything for a domain to another address. Forwarded emails still show up in your Inbox.
Read conversations
The Inbox has two sides:
- On the left, your conversations — one per customer email address, newest first. Unread messages show a blue count. Use Search conversations... to find one by email address, subject, or message text.
- On the right, the selected conversation, shown like a chat: your messages on the right, the customer's on the left.
Opening a conversation marks it as read.
Conversations include the emails Swapt has sent to a customer, so you may see customers here who received a flow or broadcast email even if they haven't written to you.
Reply
Type in the box at the bottom of a conversation, pick an address in From:, and press Enter (Shift+Enter adds a new line). The subject is filled in for you. Replies are plain text.

Replies go out automatically
When auto-response is on, every incoming email gets an AI reply straight away — there's no review step. The reply shows up in the conversation so you can see what was sent. Keep your Context accurate and up to date.
