QR Codes
Design your QR codes, choose sticker sizes, and order them printed by Swapt or print them yourself.
Every QR campaign comes with its own QR codes. When a customer scans one, they start the campaign's flow. This page covers how to design your codes, pick a size, and get them printed.
Looking for standalone short links with their own QR code, not tied to a campaign? See Links.
One-time use or multi-use
When you order codes, each row on the order page has a One-time / Multi-use switch:
- One-time use — every code is unique and accepts a single submission. Great for rewards that should only be claimed once, and it stops people sharing a code. The code can still be scanned as often as the customer likes; only the form submission is limited to once. Because each code carries its own link, every one looks slightly different. Use Export Links CSV on the campaign to get the full list of links.
- Multi-use — one shareable code and link for the whole campaign. Use Copy link on the campaign to grab it.
Design your codes
Open the designer by clicking the QR thumbnail (or Edit under it) on the order page, or from a campaign. It opens Design your QR codes, which has two tabs: Style and Templates.
The code
- Dots and Background — pick the colours. The background can be transparent.
- Dot shape — Rounded, Dots, Square, or Classy.
- Corners — Square, Rounded, Extra Rounded, or Dot.
- Outline — make the whole code a Circle or Square.
- Logo — add a PNG or SVG logo in the middle, and set its size with Logo size.

The frame
Choose a Frame:
- None — just the bare code, with no border or wording.
- Drawn — a border around the code. Set its Colour and Width, and add text (see below).
- Uploaded — your own artwork around the code (see Use your own artwork).
Padding sets the blank space around the code, which helps phones scan it.
The text
With a Drawn frame, you can add wording on the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right of the border. Pick a Preset (like SCAN ME, SCAN TO WIN, or CLAIM YOUR OFFER) or Type your own, and set the Colour, Font, and Size. Keep side text short — a word or two is all that fits.
Colours that print true
Colours are set in CMYK, the colour system printers use, so what you pick is what gets printed. If you enter a Hex or RGBA colour instead, Swapt warns you that the printed result may not match your screen and converts it to CMYK before printing.
While you design, the preview panel shows the Ink colours your code uses and checks that it will scan — for example, Scans cleanly — or warns you about low contrast, inverted colours, or a logo that's too large. Contrast between the dots and the background below 3:1 is flagged as a scan risk, and below 4.5:1 as borderline — aim for 4.5:1 or more. A logo is flagged when it covers more of the code than error correction can rebuild.
When you're happy, click Apply design. Reset starts over.
Once a code order for a campaign has gone to print, its design is locked so every code in the campaign stays consistent.
Save a design as a template
Click Save as template to reuse a design. Your saved designs appear on the Templates tab, where any new campaign can start from them. You can duplicate, rename, or delete a saved design — deleting one doesn't change campaigns already using it. Designs marked Built-in are provided by Swapt and can be duplicated.
Use your own artwork
Beta
Choose Uploaded as the frame to place your code inside your own artwork — a badge, a label, a shape. Click Add SVG, upload an SVG file, and give it a name in Name this shell. The code always sits in the centre of your artwork; use Code size to set how big it is.
Tips for artwork: mark the window where the code goes as qr-slot so Swapt sizes the code to fit it. Keep anything important inside the middle 94% of your artboard, because the die cut trims a little off each edge. Swapt warns you about common print problems, like live text that should be converted to outlines or images below 300 DPI.
Sticker sizes
On the order page, choose a Size for each row: 0.5", 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", or 3". The small sizes work well on small products and packaging — just make sure the design still scans at that size.
Order your codes
Click Create Campaign to open Create order (or Reorder codes on an existing campaign). Each row is one product and becomes its own campaign.
For each row, set the Campaign name, ASIN (optional), QR code design, Size, Quantity, and Options. Use a row's menu to Duplicate row or apply its design, size, or quantity to every row. You can also Upload CSV to fill in many rows at once.
Add where the stickers should ship. Turn on Ship every row to the same address to enter it once, and save addresses for next time.
Click Review order. On Review and confirm order, check each campaign's on-screen and printed (CMYK) colours, and download each Proof PDF to scan and test.
Tick I approve the design as it appears. and I have scanned each CMYK proof to confirm each QR is camera-readable., then click Place order.
Codes come out of your plan's allowance — the order page shows how many codes you have left. See Plans & billing.
After you order, Swapt builds print-ready PDFs of your codes and emails you when they're ready. Scans start tracking on their own as soon as customers begin scanning.
Swapt prints, or you print
- Swapt prints — by default, Swapt prints your stickers and ships them to the address on the order.
- Print yourself — turn on I'll print myself in a row's Options. Nothing ships; download the print-ready PDFs from the email Swapt sends you and take them to any printer.
You can also download a single code from the designer as a PNG Image or SVG Vector. Before a campaign is live, this is a watermarked proof.
Track your orders
See every past order under Settings → QR Orders. Order History shows each order's quantity, total, and status, with View Details and a Receipt.
