Warranty Registration

Swapt registers your customers for product warranties automatically. Set how long a product's warranty lasts once, and every customer who has that product logged as an order is registered — no flow step, form, or extra work needed.

How it works

You set a warranty length in months on a product.
When a customer submits a form in one of your flows, Swapt logs the product as an order for them — the product they picked in a Product field on your form, or, if there isn't one, the product attached to the campaign they scanned.
If that product has a warranty length, the customer is registered for the warranty right away.
The warranty expires that many months after the order date.

If the same customer registers the same product again, their existing warranty is refreshed rather than duplicated.

Set a warranty length

Go to Storefronts → My Products and click Bulk edit.

Find the Warranty (months) column and enter a whole number of months for each product that has a warranty. Leave it empty for products without one.

Setting a warranty length also registers everyone who already has an order for that product — not just future customers. Because of that, the warranty column is filled in one product at a time rather than for a whole selection at once.

Changing or removing a warranty

Changing the length updates the registrations for that product's customers.
Clearing the length stops new registrations. Warranties customers already have are kept.

See a customer's warranties

Open a customer from Audience → Customers and go to the Warranty tab. Product Warranties lists each product, its warranty length, when it was registered, when it expires, and its status: Enabled, Expired, or Disabled. See Customers.

Older flows may still contain a Register Product Warranty step. It's no longer needed and does nothing when the flow runs — you can safely delete it.
