Wallet Passes
Give customers Apple Wallet and Google Wallet cards — warranty cards, reorder reminders, setup guides, and club cards — and keep them up to date.

Wallet passes are cards your customers add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on their phone. They stay on the phone, work offline, and can buzz the customer with an update — so your brand is one tap away long after the first scan.
You'll find them under Rewards Hub → Wallet Passes.
Wallet pass vs. Vault: a wallet pass lives in the customer's phone wallet app, while the Vault is a web page they sign into. Many brands use both.
Pass types
Every pass starts from a template. When you create one, you pick its Pass type:

| Warranty card | A warranty card with a registration number, purchase date, and warranty end date. |
| Reorder reminder | Reminds the customer when a consumable is due to be replaced. Needs a product with a reorder interval. |
| Setup guide | Step-by-step instructions on the back of the card that you can update any time. |
| Brand club | A membership card. Post launches, restocks, and news to every member. |
Create a template
Click New template.
Give it a Name and choose a Pass type.
Choose the Product it's for. This is required for reorder reminders and optional for the other types. You can also limit it to one QR campaign (optional).
Fill in the details for your pass type — Guide sections for a setup guide, or a Membership label and Welcome headline for a brand club.
Set your Brand colours (background, text, and labels), upload Images (logo, icon, and an optional banner strip), and add Support links like "Contact support".
Check the Live preview, then click Create template.
Reorder intervals
A reorder reminder needs to know how often the product runs out. When you pick the product, set Every (days) under Reorder interval. If you sell on Amazon, Swapt may suggest an interval based on your orders. Reorder cards can't be issued for a product until an interval is set.
How customers get a pass
There are two ways to hand out a pass:
- From a flow — add a Wallet Pass step to your flow so customers get their card right after they scan and submit.
- From a hosted page — every template has its own registration link. Open the template and use Copy link or Open page to share it anywhere.
The customer taps to add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Automatic reminders
Swapt updates cards on customers' phones for you:
- Reorder reminders notify the customer when the product is due.
- Warranty cards notify the customer when the warranty is within 30 days of ending, and update again when it expires.
Send messages to cards
Open a template and go to the Messages tab to update every card that's already been issued:
- Setup guide — edit your guide sections on the Design tab and save, then click Push updated guide. Every card gets the new steps, and phones show that the guide was updated.
- Brand club — write a Headline and Message and click Post to members. It replaces "Latest news" on every member card and notifies their phone. Use it for launches, restocks, and member news — not discounts or review requests.
- Warranty card and Reorder reminder — write a Headline and Message and click Send to cards. It adds a line to the back of every active card and notifies the phone.
The Messages tab keeps a history of what you've sent and whether it went through.
Track your passes
The template list shows each template's funnel: Issued → added → clicked. Inside a template, the Issued passes tab shows:
- Issued, Added to a wallet, Apple registered (devices that receive updates), Updates pushed, and Link clicks.
- A table of every pass with the customer, registration number, product, due or warranty date, status, and issue date.
Done with a template? Click Archive to retire it, or Restore to bring it back.
Signing your passes
Wallet passes have to be signed by an Apple and Google account before phones will accept them. By default, your passes are signed with Swapt's account, so you don't need to set anything up.
If you'd like passes to be signed as your own brand, click Use my own account at the bottom of the Wallet Passes page and enter your Apple Pass Type ID and Team ID and your Google Wallet Issuer ID, along with your Apple certificates and private key and your Google service account file. You can switch back any time with Use Swapt account.
If you see Wallet signing isn't set up yet, you can still design templates, but no passes will be issued until signing is configured. Contact Swapt support if this appears.
